Market Research: Reflexology

Reflexology aims to relieve stress as prolonged exposure to stress causes the body to lower its immune defenses

General Benefits:

  • Creates a feeling of wellness and improves mood

  • Promotes relaxation enabling the body to lower stress and manage it to not affect body negatively

  • Stimulates the release of the body's happy hormones

  • Improves overall circulation of the blood leading to greater oxygen and nutrition supply to body

  • Supports recovery process of injuries to hands and feet

Example of Reflexology Massager:

  • Uses air pressure massage and pressure point to target areas in hand

  • Has heat compression and infrared heat to soothe tired hands and aching muscles

  • Effect on hand's skin (pressure and heat allow lotions and creams to absorb quickly)

Essential body parts to focus when staring at computer all day

It is shockingly interesting how being in nature, or even viewing scenes of nature, immediately reduces anger, fear, stress and increases pleasant feelings. One of the most intriguing areas of current research is the impact of nature on general wellbeing. It increases our ability to pay attention. Because humans find nature inherently interesting, we can naturally focus on what we are experiencing out in nature. Therefore, I wanted to replicate the color schemes of the calming Mother Nature and convert that onto the computer mouse. Because targeted users spend a lot of time looking at their computer screen, they experience "nature deprivation." Hopefully, these color ways remind them to take short breaks in between and get in touch with nature.

Similar to an Apple mouse/trackpad: In order for users to successfully massage their pressure points, their hands will need to slide across.
